Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am a student at Virginia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. I have been a part of VT's Formula SAE racing team, designing a competitive race car, and Enable design team where I helped create prosthetics that are cheap. As well, I have a published research paper and started a business in high school.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I used to teach at a swim school for kids aged 5 through 12, helping them progress from learning to swim to becoming more proficient. After this, I worked as an assistant chef for a private kitchen, helping kids learn to cook when the kitchen would host lessons.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I know that in coding and game design, I spend my free time building games in Unity and on several coding projects, such as my research paper. As well, I have plenty of experience in the field of engineering, designing aero and mechanical elements for my design teams, such as a front wing for FSAE.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

It excites me to watch students grow and piece together knowledge for themselves.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I am a big golfer and I love going to the gym, playing basketball, and building games in my free time.
