Where do you attend school, and what what are you studying?

I attend the University of Virginia, studying Materials Science and Engineering. I'm a member of the Mechatronics and Robotics Society (which won the NASA Lunabotics Challenge this year), and I'm an Undergraduate Corrosion Researcher. Before this, during high school I was an AP Scholar with Distinction and received a Certificate of Academic Excellence all four years.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

Through Math Honor Society, I tutored students in a subjects including calculus. Junior Swim Coach, I was also a teacher's assistant in a freshman biology class, helping to teach lecture material to students and keep them on task. Additionally, I was a swim coach for kids aged 5-8.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I have CAD training and robotics experience from the Mechatronics and Robotics Society at UVA. I've taken several math courses in the Engineering School, up to ordinary differential equations. I have also been a lifelong Minecraft player

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I'm excited about passing my love for math and science down to a younger generation of students

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I run, cook, and spend time with my dog.
