Math Circle Leaders

Steven Nossal founded Fairfax Collegiate in 1993. His twin daughters are seventh graders at Herndon Middle School and love math. Mr. Nossal earned a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.

Linda Gu is a senior at Chantilly High School where she is studying Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra. A member of Math Honor Society, she tutors her peers in AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. Last summer she taught math at Fairfax Collegiate and completed an internship with a professor at GMU.

Abdul is a senior at Herndon High School where he's studying college level physics and statistics while tutoring his peers in AP Calculus AB. He's taught math in the Fairfax Collegiate summer program and also tutors elementary and middle schoolers at his mosque. Abdul plans to study Aerospace Engineering and is excited to share problem-solving skills to his Math Circle students.
