Where do you attend school, and what what are you studying?

I recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2026 where I earned my BS in Accountancy and BS in Information Systems. As a student, I served as both a Peer Advisor and a Resident Advisor for multiple years, which allowed me to counsel freshmen regarding academic success, mental wellbeing, and campus resources. I am thrilled to be working full-time as an auditor for Crowe LLP in the fall.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

During my senior year at university, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the "Business Analytics" course offered through my college, where I was responsible for creating and grading course materials for over one hundred students. I also had the opportunity to assist students with individual content concerns through personalized office hours. Additionally, I have worked as an SAT Tutor, where I guided students through the "hard problems" of the SAT, supplementing with self-generated curriculum as needed.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I have taken several advanced mathematics and quantitative reasoning courses during both high school and college, such as AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Information System Analysis, and Data Science & Analytics. A majority of these courses served as prerequisites for my advanced accounting classes, which were math-heavy and required rigorous logical reasoning. During high school, I served as a co-captain of the the debate team, instructing members on case writing, speech delivery, and refutations.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I am so excited to be making a difference in the classroom by helping connect material with students' interests to ignite a passion for learning. The most special part of teaching is seeing a student have that "light-bulb moment" where they are able to grasp the information that they were previously struggling to understand.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I love to be outdoors! I enjoy long walks at the park, hiking, and playing pickleball. I also have a passion for service and volunteering in my free time.
