What excites you about teaching and working with students? What excites me most about teaching and working with students in athletics classes is the potential to instill a lifelong love for physical activity and health. In PE, I have the unique opportunity to engage students in fun and dynamic activities that promote not only physical fitness but also teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Knowing that I have played a role in helping students develop habits that will benefit them throughout their lives is incredibly fulfilling.
What are you looking forward to as a location director? As the Tysons' Location Director, I enjoy managing the logistics of operating the Tysons Location on a daily basis. Closely managing these logistics allows for the Tysons Location to run smoothly and efficiently throughout the summer. I also enjoy supporting the Tysons instructors to ensure that they have all of the knowledge and tools that they need to lead successful courses that will enrich their students' summer learning.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?Writing, reading, running, music, soccer, cycling, and cooking top my list of interests in life. I also enjoy teaching students about nature, conservation, athletics, and exercise. It is important to me that my students understand how these topics and activities enrich our everyday lives.
