Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I'm attending the University of Virginia, majoring in Computer Science.

What have your work opportunities with students been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

When I was in high school, I tutored students for my Computer Science teacher. I helped students understand concepts in AP Computer Science A as well as Data Structures and Algorithms.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I started as a Lead TA at Fairfax Collegiate. As a part of my duties, I had to help manage student behavior and resolve disputes between students in a respectful manner. I also had the opportunity to teach lessons to the students in areas such as math, public speaking, and programming. Last year as an instructor, I taught several classes in math, technology, test prep, and science.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I have tremendous experience in math. I have taken math up to the Calculus BC (Calculus 2) level. I am also teaching some programming courses, which are very familiar to me with my major being Computer Science.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I'm excited to work with the students at Fairfax Collegiate because I want to help students discover their academic passions and have the opportunity to pursue them.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I'm an avid writer and work on my own creative pieces outside of work.
