Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I attend the University of Virginia and am majoring in government and am minoring in global sustainability. I am a Student Council Representative at UVA, an educator for our university's honor committee, and am part of University Democrats. In High School, I was a debate team captain and part of my school's Math Honor Society.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

For two years now, I've been a private tutor and have tutored on a variety of subjects for 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th grade math and English, as well as both SAT Math and English content.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I began working in then summer of 2022 and have taught subjects including debate, geometry, model UN, and science.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I have taken math courses through AP Calculus BC and have tutored students in math outside of Fairfax Collegiate.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I really enjoy working in a small classroom environment as it allows me to give to each student the attention that is needed while also allowing for collaboration to happen between students and for friendships to form. Furthermore, I know that math in particular can be tough, and a student can engage far more comprehensively with it if they have a good head-start particularly during the summer, and I can't wait to be a part of that.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with the news and at UVA, I'm a member of the swiftie society and am probably one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans you'll ever meet.
