Aerospace Engineering 7-9

Launch into mechanical engineering and the design of aircraft, rockets, and spacecraft.

Students learn the principles of flight and space travel in this ambitious mechanical engineering course.

This course features lessons about the design and construction of many different types of modern aircraft and spacecraft, the physics behind flight and orbit, and learning about recent developments in satellite technology.

Students undertake projects such as building a wind tunnel to test airfoils, designing and testing small-scale rockets made from household materials, creating an atmospheric data station for a weather balloon, and tracking the path of the International Space Station.
