Iram Shaikh

Iram Shaikh is a fourth year student at the University of Virginia. She is an Echols Scholar, who is enrolled in the 5-Year BA/MT program at the UVA Curry School of Education. Through this program, she is receiving a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Secondary Science Education, so that she can become a high school biology teacher. At UVA, she is involved with Madison House, a student volunteer center that provides tutoring services to children. While on the track to becoming a Biology teacher, Iram has also been pursuing her passion for photography. She was a photographer for The Cavalier Daily at UVA for a year and also served as the newspaper's Photo Editor. She also does wedding, event, and sports photography. Iram graduated as a valedictorian from Lake Braddock Secondary School in 2007 where she tutored students in biology and math. This will be her fourth year teaching at Fairfax Collegiate.
