Alexander Kruszewski
Having finished his first year at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Alex is excited to bring the excitement and energy of the collegiate learning environment back home. A graduate with honors of Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia, an AP Scholar as awarded by the College Board, and an advocate for the importance of both the arts as well as math and science education, Alex loves to learn and loves to share that learning experience with others! Finding opportunities to participate in this shared learning environment in the community, Alex has previously worked as a Guest Artist in recent years at the local Blue Planet Children's Theatre Company in addition to taking part in many community service projects and tutoring programs back at Westfield High. Most notably, Alex has has spent much time pursuing the performing arts throughout his high school and new college career, receiving many solo opportunities and roles in theatre productions. During the summer of his rising Junior year in high school, the summer of 2007, Alex attended the Virginia Governor's School for the Visual & Performing Arts with a focus in Dance. Furthermore, Alex has previously performed principle roles in Classical Ballet Academy of NoVA’s and Westfield HS’s Theatre productions, as well as baritone solos in Westfield HS Choir’s Classical Masterworks. Other notable roles include vocal and dance solos at the Cappies Gala/Kennedy Centre(2007, 2009), television appearances on ABC’s 20/20(2008) & MTV’s Teen Cribs(2009), and a cast member of Theatre of the Star’s National Tour of Les Misérables(2008).
