Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I attend the College of William and Mary and am majoring in English. I am a member of the William & Mary Film Society, WCWM 90.9 Radio, and the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. I graduated from Herndon High School, where I served as the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper for three years, co-president of the Debate Club for two years, and a member of the National English Honor Society for my senior year.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

In high school I was a part of the Writing Center and helped students revise and develop college essays and school assignments. Since middle school, I've worked as a volunteer instructor for the Religious Education program at St. Joseph's Church.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I began working at Fairfax Collegiate in the Summer of 2023, where I taught writing, speech, and debate.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

For my major in college, I've taken classes on Enlightenment-era literature, Romanticism literature, modernist and existentialist literature, and also classes that have focused on the works of Shakespeare and Milton, respectively. In high school I took AP Literature & Composition and AP Language & Composition.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I have always enjoyed working with students and volunteering in the community.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

At college, I've played on intramural teams for soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and handball. I'm learning how to play piano, and I try to watch at least one movie every day.
