Cristina Mai is a graduate of Mary Washington University where she earned her B.A. degree in English with a Concentration in Writing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Lambda Iota Tau. Mrs. Mai went on to Indiana University, Bloomington, where she earned her M.A. in Italian. She has also studied at the Middlebury Language School in Vermont.

Mrs. Mai is an experienced teacher of English, Italian, and various computer software programs. She is currently an English teacher at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn. This is her first summer at Fairfax Collegiate.
