Christine Widmayer graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2009 with a BA in Political Science and a minor in English. She spent a year working as a substitute teacher and video editor in Michigan before moving to Virginia in 2010. She currently attends George Mason University's MFA Program in Creative Writing where she specializes in creative nonfiction.

For the past year, she has taught sixth grade writing at Curie Learning and she will begin a teaching assistantship at George Mason University this fall.
