Aileen Mavity has just completed her third year at UVA. At the University of Virginia, she is simultaneously working on her BA in Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences and on her Masters of Teaching with concentrations in Elementary Education and ESOL in the Curry School of Education.

Aileen plans on teaching in an elementary school or in a museum's education department upon graduation. She would ideally like to teach in an overseas DoD school one day to mix her love of travel and teaching.

Aileen's experiences working with kids are many and varied and include coaching soccer, running an arts-based mentoring program, assistant teaching, and tutoring. Each subsequent experience has been as fun and rewarding as have been the previous ones, and she cannot wait to dive into this experience with Fairfax Collegiate!
