Students expand their vocabularies by learning new words and using these words in their own writing. They also learn and practice strategies for verbal questions on standardized tests.
Vocabulary-building techniques include studying mnemonic cartoons, learning the meanings of related words, understanding the Greek and Latin roots of English words, playing work games, and reading for vocabulary.
