Rising fifth and sixth graders learn programming by running, reading, discussing, and modifying games written in Microsoft Small Basic (http://smallbasic.com).
Topics include the definition of a program, variables, conditions, branching, loops, graphics, shapes, turtles, subroutines, arrays, events, and interactivity.
Games include Tic-Tac-Toe, lunar lander, pong, fractal generators, and spacewar.
