Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu) is a graphical programming language designed at the MIT Media Lab to introduce mathematical and computational ideas to elementary students in a fun and engaging manner.
Students create Scratch scripts by snapping together graphical blocks to control the actions and interactions among different media such as graphics, photos, and sound.
Students learn Scratch through direct instruction, interactive tutorials, sample projects, the command reference guide, and creation of individual projects with the assistance of teachers.
