Fairfax Collegiate Summer 2012

Paleontology 3-4

This is an introduction to the scientific study of dinosaurs and other ancient life.

Topics include fossilization, geology and the fossil record, dinosaur classification and reconstruction, dinosaur evolution, parental behavior, social behavior, ecological niches, and dinosaur biology.

Activities include a fossil find, dinosaur track analysis, rock and fossil identification, bone and dinosaur teeth analysis, fossil excavation and assembly.
