Students prepare for Algebra I by studying key pre-algebra and algebra concepts.
This is an individualized course. Students complete a diagnostic test on the first day of class to identify their specific needs. They demonstrate mastery of each topic before moving to the next.
The sequence of topics includes negative numbers, variables, terms, expressions, equations, polynomials, rational numbers, rational expressions, graphs, systems of equations, and quadratic equations.
This course also features daily instruction and discussion of algebra topics.
